In addition to serving as as 1st Vice Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Cobb-Hunter has been in the House of Representatives since 1992 and currently represents House District 95, which encompasses part of Orangeburg, Holly Hill, and St. George. Her background is in social work and her areas of focus include providing quality education for all, increasing state employees' pay, and advocating for children and families (Cobb-Hunter, n.d.).

Rep. Garvin has served House District 77, Richland County, Columbia, SC as member of the South Carolina House of Representatives since 2018. He is currently an attorney and has worked previously as a public school teacher. His areas of focus are expanding Medicaid, public education, easing the burden of student loan debt, and bringing business to the Midlands.
